Vision for Helensburgh:
Consultation Process

What is this consultation about?

This is your opportunity to have a say on the Helensburgh Local Place Plan before it becomes official. The plan contains 24 proposals that could shape how our town develops over the next 10-20 years - from new housing and community facilities to protecting our green spaces and improving transport links.

Why does your feedback matter?

Once this plan is registered with Argyll & Bute Council, it will be considered when making planning decisions that affect our community. This consultation ensures the final plan truly represents what Helensburgh residents want for their town's future. Your input helps us refine these proposals and make sure we haven't missed anything important.

What is this consultation about?

We're asking you to review our 24 proposals and tell us:

  • Which proposals you support or have concerns about

  • Whether we've missed any important issues

  • If you have suggestions to improve any of the proposals

  • Your thoughts on the overall vision for Helensburgh

How can you get involved?

  1. Read the plan - Available at Helensburgh Library, Civic Centre, Destination Helensburgh and Community Hub, or download the PDF
  2. Fill in our feedback form - Quick and easy online form, or paper copies available at the locations above
  3. Submit written comments - Send detailed feedback by email or post

The consultation runs from 15th September to 17th October. Don't leave it to the last minute - we want to hear from as many people as possible!

What happens next?

After the consultation, we'll review all feedback and finalise the plan for submission to Argyll & Bute Council for formal registration and consideration as part of LDP3.

Your participation in this consultation is crucial - this is democracy in action at the local level.

Thank you.
